Power System Protection Coordination is based on information from many sources, and it is difficult to organize all data properly. Even today most utilities store protection coordination data in different places and formats, and manual information management is common.
ProDoc is a unique tool developed by Jacobsen elektro to solve these particular problems.
During the coordination of a utility's protective systems ProDoc assists the engineer by structuring the work and reducing manual work, giving the engineer time to focus on more challenging problems.

Each protection coordination plan in ProDoc is a separate document formed by a number of system modules. Each plan describes all relevant data for a single system component like for instance a power line, a transformer a generator etc.  When initiating a new document ProDoc modules are combined into different sections to form a complete document. In real power systems it is not unusual to have 100-200 such plans describing each component in the system.

ProDoc contains almost 800 modules. More than 630 of these represent relays from different manufacturers, and new modules are continuously added.
